Betty Lou Gurley Tommy Harrell

Betty Lou Gurley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gurley, is Valedictorian of the graduating class at Decatur County High School.  Thomas Lewis Harrell, son of Lewis Harrell, is Salutatorian.  Both have been selected as “Students Most Likely To Succeed”.

Tommy is President of the Senior Class, Editor in Chief of the school annual and was selected as “Most Studious Boy” and “Most Co-operative Boy”.  He won 1st place in State F.F.A. Public Speaking last year.

Betty Lou is secretary of the Senior Class, on the annual staff and has held offices in the [F.H.A.].  She has also been chosen to receive the Daughters of [The] American [Revolution] Award.
