In the handwriting of James Vaulx Drake, in his history notes about Henderson County, Tennessee (Miscellaneous Collection, Tennessee Historical Society, Box 7, H-77, Tennessee State Library and Archives) is mention of Noah Lindsey, about whom somone had told Drake when he visited in Lexington (about 1880):

NOAH LINDSEY, AN EARLY SETTLER, LOCATED NEAR THE HEADS OF FOUR RIVERS, SANDY, OBION, FORKED DEER AND BEECH, THE WATER FROM HIS YARD RUNNING INTO THESE SEVERAL STREAMS.

Lindsey does not appear in the 1836-1837 tax lists of Henderson County. He had died or he and his family had moved on from Henderson County by 1840 but they did appear in the U. S. Census for that county in 1830, page 104 (two males, four females and no slaves in this household):
