The actual tabulation of free blacks according to the census population schedule, there were six free black males rather than seven; three free black females rather than four; three free mulatto males rather than two; in agreement with six free mulatto females; all in Henderson County. The fate of any of these folk is presently unknown; some of the older men probably died within the next decade; some migrated out of state and some of the women undoubtedly married.
