OBITUARY

 On the morning of July 29, 1962, 5:30 a.m. the Almighty saw fit to call Virginia Jeannetta Hardin home to rest. She passed in the General Hospital of Jackson, Tennessee.

She was born in Hickman County, Aetna, Tennessee, April 21, 1887. She was the daughter of Rev. Albert Gordon and wife, Sophia.

Mrs. Hardin was seventy-five years, four months and eight days old when she passed into Eternity.

She was from a family of ten children. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age in the Christian Church. She was a sincere member of her church, and worked faithfully with her family in the Saint Paul A.M.E. Church, Mrs. Hardin tried to instill in her children wholesome guidance and Christian attitudes.

She will be greatly missed in this community and the communities in which she lived for her good deeds and services.

In 1903, she married Mr. Johnnie Marshell Hardin of Hardin County, Tennessee, who died in 1955. To them were born five children, she leaves to mourn her passing children, William Edgar Hardin, Jackson, Tenn., Mrs. Nazerine Fairy White, Memphis, Tenn., Ira Thedora Hardin, Morris Chapel, Tenn., Rellie and Olivia Hardin both of Los Angeles, Calif., five grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Quincy Hicks, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Octavia Hogans, Columbia, Tenn., and Mrs. Julia Smith, Brooklyn, N. Y., one brother, Charlie Gordon, Detroit, Michigan, one uncle, Eldridge Gordon, Chicago, Illinois a host of other relatives and friends.
