OBITUARY
Mrs. Eula McHaney was born in Decatur County, July 9, 1901, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Welch. She departed this life February 4, 1990 at the Jackson General Hospital after an extended illness.
She was united in wedlock to Mr. Ocie M. McHaney, who preceeded her in death.
Mrs. McHaney accepted Christ at an early age in Decatur County, and after relocating to Lexington, TN joined Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was active in the Missionary Society, Usher Board and the Building Committee until her health failed. She also was a devoted member of Rosebud Chapter of the O.E.S #223.
Mrs. McHaney for many years was a cook at the former Montgomery School and a retired housekeeper.
She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted and caring niece, Mrs. Geneva Emory (Rev. M. H. Emory) of Jackson, TN with whom she made her home the last several months prior to her demise; a dear sister-in-law, Mrs. Lorene Harmon of Lexington, TN; a good friend and former employer, Attorney Dick Barry of Lexington, TN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

OBITUARY
CECIL PHELPS, son of the late Rev. John Oliver and Lula Mae Harmon Phelps was born September 19, 1917 in Lexington, Tennessee. He departed this life on Saturday, March 19, 1994 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, Tennessee.
He attended schools in Henderson County, graduating from Montgomery High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He was a farmer and retired custodian at the Decatur County Courthouse.
Cecil was a loving husband and father and a friend to everyone he met. He was also a devoted member and officer of Freedman Chapel A. M. E. Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Mrs. Pauline Phelps; four children: Joe Cecil Phelps and Paula Phelps of Jackson, TN, Nathaniel Ray (Gloria) Phelps of Memphis, TN, and Arthur Floyd Phelps of Decaturville, TN; three brothers: Nathan Phelps, J. C. Phelps and David Phelps, all of Omaha, NE; two sisters: Viola Harris and Lula Mae Carsille of Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends.

OBITUARY
Mrs. Josie Brewor was born March 6, 1883 in Perry County, Tn. and departed this life October 10, 1970 at her home in Decaturville.
At an early ago she was married to Mr. Mack Brewer , who preceded her in death. In her youth she united with the New Hope Bapt. church and remained a member for several years, later joining the St. Paul Bapt. church, Decaturville. She was a good christian, a faithful worker, a staunch friend, and a loving mother. In her medical field, she was highly respected by those she served. She will be greatly missed in home, church and community.
She was the mother of thirteen children.
She leaves to mourn her passing: daughters Mesdames Eva Pettigrew-Denmark, Tenn., Myrtle Scott-Mississippi, Cora Brown-Trenton, Tenn., Clair T. Brewer, Verloo Brown-Docaturville; son Earnest Brewer, Sr. Decaturville, Tenn.; one brother, Robert Sharp-Humbolt, Tenn.; 2 nieces, 4 nephews; 53 granchildren, 50 great grand children, a host of other relatives and friends.
