OBITUARY
Jennie Corene (Davis) Sanders was born to the late Eddie and Tenner Davis of Finger, TN, on December 2, 1926. She was the third of six children. She attended Chester County Public Schools and professed a Hope and Faith in Christ early in life.
She met and married Warren J. Sanders; to this union 15 children were born. They were together for 43 years. They lived in Gary, Indiana for 25 years. She was a housewife and a dedicated mother, known to all the neighborhood children as "Mom."
She was a member of St. Andrews A.M.E. Zion Church in gary, Ind., where she worked faithfully. She moved back to Tennessee in 1974 where she joined the Walter L. Thompson Methodist Church of Bethel Springs. Later she joined the Mt. Zion Church of Selmer, TN, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, on the Mothers Board and was a dedicated member of the senior class.
She was a dedicated Christian. A person who has a fountain of overflowing ;ove to give to every person she met. She was quiet in her manner and pleasant to everyone. She tried to uplift the spirits of people who were down in such a passionate and concerned way. She was one of God's gentle women, upon whose head rests a crown studded with sparkling jewels of her golden deeds, and who will live on in each of us.
