Junior Class History
In the fall of 1922 a group of seventy-eight boys and girls climbed the steps of Lexington High School for the purpose of obtaining knowledge. This was the largest class that ever entered this school. When we became Sophomores our class had dwindled down to fifty-eight. Still it remained the largest class in the history of the school.
Now, as juniors, we have the largest class in school. It contains forty-four. If no misfortune shall befall us we hope that our class will be the largest Senior class that Lexington High School has ever had.
This class contains its share of athletes, musicians, historians, mathematicians, grammarians, orators and writers.
The Junior Class is one of the most talented classes in school. Every Junior is proud of his or her class and its record in school.
When the day comes four us to mount the stage of the Lexington High School auditorium in order to receive our diplomas, we hope the principal and the teachers shall realize that we, as a class, have been up to the standard in every way.
