Beech Tree Face Near White Homeplace

This mysterious face was found carved in the bark of a large beech tree on the property of Betty and Geary Maness in the Davis Community of Decatur Co. TN.  It is not known how old this craving is but it is on land that was part of a land grant to Reuben White in the mid 1830's.  It is very near the Reuben White home place that was disassembled and moved to Decaturville by P. A. White.
