Note:
Between 1820 and 1845 Perry County included most of the area which is now
Decatur County, Tennessee. Many families which appear in early Perry County
records lived west of the Tennessee River. Some of these families may be found
on a separate Family Page for Decatur and
Henderson counties. Families commonly found in early Perry County records which
are mostly or entirely on the west side of the river include, but are not
limited to, Brasher (Brashear), Derryberry, Finch, Fisher, Graham, Hensley,
