Red House

History of Scotts Hill, Tennessee

Red House

The famous Red House near Bath Springs. Built long before Civil War, it served as a stagecoach inn.
Painted red when boarded over long ago. Abandonded many years ago.
Tales of strange happenings caused many to consider the place haunted. Feeling still exists in the area.
House gave its name to Red House Graveyard nearby.
